How our guides are researched, written, checked and kept up to date, so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give them.

1. How we research
Every guide starts with research, not with a template. For hotel guides we look at each property’s location, beach access, room types, facilities and typical prices, and we read what guests consistently say in their reviews. For practical guides (airports, buses, weather, costs) we rely on official and primary sources wherever possible, such as transport operators, the airport authority, the Marbella town council and national weather data.
We do not claim to have stayed in every hotel we write about. Where a guide compares hotels, it is based on published information and guest feedback, and we do not present it as a personal stay.
2. How we use AI tools
We use AI writing tools to help organise research, outline articles and draft parts of the text. We never publish AI output as it comes. Before a guide goes live, an editor reads it in full and:
- checks facts such as prices, fares, distances, opening times, dates and hotel facilities against official or primary sources;
- removes or corrects anything that cannot be verified;
- reviews the page title, description and image alt text, not only the article body;
- edits the text so it is clear, useful and written for travellers, not for search engines.
We publish a small number of guides and keep improving existing ones, rather than producing large volumes of automated pages.
3. Prices and details can change
Hotel rates, transport fares and opening hours change often. Prices in our guides are typical ranges at the time of writing, not quotes. Please confirm the details that matter to you with the hotel, airline or operator before you book.
4. Updates and corrections
We review our guides regularly and update them when prices, routes or facilities change. If you spot something wrong or out of date, please tell us through our contact page or at contact@hotelsinmarbella.com. We correct verified errors as quickly as we can.
5. Photos
Where we use photos from free-licence libraries such as Unsplash, we credit the photographer in the caption. Photos help you picture a place, but they may not show the exact room or view you will get.
6. How we make money
Our guides are free to read. We may earn a commission when you book through some of our links (for example hotel, tour or car hire partners), and we may show advertising. This never costs you extra. No hotel or company pays to be included in our guides or to be ranked higher, and affiliate relationships do not decide which hotels we recommend. Read more in our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
